Paul Smith's College
Paul Smith's is a small undergraduate college committed to a hands-on,
brains-on education which has resulted in a 99% job placement/further
education rate for its students. Since 1946 extensive applied training,
internships, and experiential learning have set Paul Smith's apart from
other colleges. The 14:1 student to faculty ratio ensures that students
receive personal attention in the classroom. Located in the Adirondack Park
of northern New York State, the College pulls from a rich history of
forestry, environmentalism, and hospitality that have attracted visitors for
well over a hundred years. The College-owned Hotel Saranac boasts two
full-service kitchens, two restaurants, banquet facilities, and a bakery,
operated by students under supervision of faculty and professional staff.
The on-campus Apollo Bakery and newly opened Wally Ganzi Jr. Training
Restaurant offers students additional kitchen and management experience.
